Dr Amy Batley qualified from Sheffield Medical School in 2006 and has remained close to her roots throughout her medical career. Born and raised in Barnsley, she has continued to practise medicine in the local area, maintaining a strong connection to the community she serves.
She has been a General Practitioner for over 14 years, with broad experience across all aspects of family medicine. In addition to her core GP training, Dr Batley holds additional qualifications in obstetrics and gynaecology, family planning, and sexual health, allowing her to offer informed, holistic care across a wide range of presentations.
Dr Batley also has a special interest in medical education and is committed to maintaining high clinical standards through ongoing professional development. She takes pride in keeping up to date with the latest advances in general practice and evidence-based medicine.
Central to her approach is the belief that patients should feel listened to, understood, and fully informed. She places great importance on clear communication, ensuring patients understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and the rationale behind their care.

Dr Rachel Scott
BSc (Hons) MBChB DRCOG MRCGP (2012)
Dr Scott is a GMC-registered General Practitioner who qualified in medicine from the
University of Warwick in 2007.
She also holds a BSc (Hons) in Microbiology with Immunology from the University of Leeds
Dr Scott completed her postgraduate medical training in South Yorkshire, qualifying as a GP in 2012, and has worked as an NHS GP in Barnsley since.
Dr Scott has a clinical interest in women’s health and holds recognised qualifications from the RCOG and CoSRH
She has a particular passion for menopause care and completed the British Menopause Society Management of the Menopause Certificate in 2025.
In addition to her NHS general practice work, she provides NHS menopause consultations within the Barnsley PCN menopause clinic, supporting women across the locality
