• In the UK, 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime. Risk increases with age and is even higher for black men and men with a family history of prostate cancer.
• If you are aged 45 or over, or have risk factors such as family history of prostate cancer, this test will help identify your PSA levels which if elevated, can be a sign of prostate cancer. 

Book our Screening appointment to schedule a blood test PSA check and a follow up telephone appointment with a GP to discuss your  results . 

Screening can detect cancer early, before symptoms even show up, finding problems as soon as possible improves treatment options for men at risk. 

 We recognise that every woman’s experience of menopause is different. 

Our service is designed to provide safe, personalised, and compassionate care that is responsive to individual needs and circumstances.

We offer evidence-based symptom management in line with current national guidance and best practice. 

Treatment options are individualised and may include hormonal and non-hormonal approaches, depending on clinical indication, patient preference, and medical suitability.

Where clinically appropriate, we may prescribe regulated body-identical hormone preparations, including oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone therapy*, following a full medical assessment and informed consent process.

We do not prescribe compounded “bioidentical” hormone preparations. These are unregulated products with limited evidence regarding their safety, efficacy, and quality.

*Testosterone is prescribed only when clinically indicated and may be used off-licence in accordance with national guidance and professional standards.

We do offer a testosterone service for women that are already on oestrogen +/- progesterone who are keen to explore whether testosterone would benefit them.

We do not prescribe testosterone without these hormones in this clinic.

During your consultation, we’ll assess the cause of your hair loss and develop a personalized treatment plan to help restore your hair and confidence.

 Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common condition that affects lots of men and can be caused by a range of factors including stress, hormonal imbalances, poor circulation, or underlying health issues such as diabetes. 

We offer discreet, effective treatment options tailored to your individual needs to combat this issue .

Our goal is to identify the root cause of your ED and provide safe, results-driven solutions to help restore sexual performance and confidence. 

If you are travelling abroad you may need to be vaccinated. We offer most travel vaccines including yellow fever.

Initially, we will ask you to complete and submit our online travel health form. This is free of charge.

 It is important that this is completed as soon as possible  before you travel to ensure we can provide the correct vaccines and they have chance to be effective.

 Once your form has been received, we will contact you within 3 working days to arrange a face to face appointment to receive the vaccinations.  

Your second appointment should be at least two weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.

You must be able to attend our practice in Barnsley in person to access this service

  Our doctor-led minor surgery clinic offers safe and effective removal of small, benign skin lesions that may be cosmetically bothersome, such as skin tags, small cysts, small moles and warts. 

Treatments include minor excision, cryotherapy, curettage, and electrocautery . 

All procedures are carried out with clinical safety being of paramount importance , where appropriate, tissue samples are sent for histological analysis to confirm the absence of abnormal cells. 

*This service is not suitable for lesions suspected to be cancerous*

 This service is led by Dr Bannon, an experienced GP with a special interest in dermatology. With over 20 years of medical experience, she brings a high level of clinical skill, precision, and judgement to every procedure. Patients benefit from her extensive knowledge, ensuring treatments are delivered safely, effectively, and with excellent cosmetic outcomes. 

We ask that you complete an initial contact form with photos and details of the lesion/s you are keen to have treated. 

This will be reviewed by our doctor, if the lesion/s are suitable for removal, we will be in contact regarding and appointment and the cost. 

Full payment is required upon booking the surgery.

Our minor surgery clinics will run on Monday evening between 1830 and 1930 at The Worsbrough Centre, Powell Street, Worsbrough, S70 5NZ

Prices vary between £100 and £180 depending on the nature of the lesions and the treatment required.

Please note: any pigmented lesions will require onward referral to histology as per best clinical practice. This will incur an additional £186 fee. You will be notified of the total price prior to booking so there are no hidden fees.
